How is Estimatic different from a calculator or spreadsheet?+
Estimatic is an AI estimator. You describe a job, attach photos or measurements, and an agent builds a structured estimate using local labor rates, supplier pricing, permit data, your costbook, and your business rules — then gives you good / better / best options. You stay in control: review, edit, approve.
Does Estimatic replace my CRM or field service software?+
No — and we never want to. Estimatic is the estimating layer in front of whatever you already use. Our Chrome extension pushes finished estimates into Jobber, Housecall Pro, SumoQuote, and others without retyping. Direct API integrations are rolling out for ServiceTitan, JobTread, JobNimbus, AccuLynx, and more.
How does the Chrome extension work?+
Install the extension, open your existing platform's estimate form, and push from Estimatic. The extension reads your saved field mapping for that platform and auto-fills client, line items, totals, and notes. No copy-paste, no double entry.
Where does the pricing come from?+
We blend your costbook (if you have one), local labor rate indexes by zip and trade, supplier price intelligence, and permit data per city. You can override any line, and Estimatic will learn your pricing over time.
Will I be liable if the AI gets a number wrong?+
You stay responsible for every estimate. Estimatic helps you generate them, but you review, edit, and approve before anything goes to a customer. We're explicit about that in our terms — and we'd never want it any other way.
Is my data private?+
Yes. Your costbook, clients, and estimates are scoped to your organization. Team members only see what their role allows. Integration tokens are encrypted server-side and never exposed to the browser.
